As more people are sheltering in place, the need for special senior services increases.
Although the Bloomfield Township Senior Center is closed, it does offer specialized services.
This service is available to adults age 60 and over practicing self-isolation. If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about temporary deliveries call (248) 723-3500.
One weekly package offers three or five full entrees with beverage delivered on Mondays between 10:30 a.m. and noon. They are $5 per meal and more than one may be ordered. People age 60 and over at any income level are eligible. Support is available for residents who may be unable to contribute.
Trained staff use all safety protocols and do not enter any homes.
The Senior Center continues to offer essential medical transportation to its clients with its contracted service provider.
BTSS staff is happy to make wellness calls Monday-Friday for seniors. Call BTSS at (248) 723-3500 if you know of any Bloomfield Township seniors who are in need of assistance with meals and/or essential medical transportation. The Senior Center monitors calls 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday.
